Police Log: Lightening Strikes Transformer

This is an excerpt from the Milton Police Log on Thursday, August 5.

  • At 12:42 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Adams Street and Centre Street. The caller reported a tire fell off another vehicle and struck hers. The responding officer reported minor damage.
  • At 4:37 p.m.. Thursday, a caller reported a transformer was struck by lightening at 98 Houston Avenue. The strike knocked down live wires. An officer stood by until NSTAR arrived.
  • At 5:01 p.m. Thursday, a resident of Fairbanks Road reported her son's ex girlfriend assaulted her. One party was summonsed for assault and battery. At 8:15 p.m. the same resident called to report she  was receiving threats over the telephone from the assault suspect.
  • At 8:52 p.m. Thursday, a Cape Cod Lane resident called to report a bat in her home. The resident called back prior to police arrival to report the bat had left.
