Police Log: Mudslide Creates Spill Scare

This is an excerpt from the Milton Police Log on Monday, August 9.

  • At 9:21 a.m. Monday, a party, who reported a past larceny to her motor vehicle on Eliot Street, flagged an officer down. The officer requested patrol for daytime in the area.
  • At 4:12 p.m. Monday, the Boston Fire Department was at the Central Avenue bank of the Neponset River reporting a possible spill. Milton DPW reported it was the result of a mudslide that occurred earlier in the day.
  • At 6:24 p.m. Monday, a caller reported her vehicle was stuck by a truck at Central Avenue and Brook Road. The truck continued onto Central Avenue after making contact. All operators were spoken to and there were no injuries.
