Taxi Collides With Trolley At Central Avenue
A motorist was taken to the hospital Saturday after he crashed his taxi van into a trolley, delaying service for nearly an hour.

A trolley and vehicle accident delayed service on the MBTA Mattapan line for close to an hour on Saturday, August 4, after a taxi van and a trolley collided at the Central Avenue Station in Milton.
The driver of the Milton Cab, Jean Limage, was taken to the hospital with neck, shoulder and back pain after the accident that blocked the inbound track. No other injuries were reported.
At the time of the accident, the trolley was heading eastbound toward Ashmont Station and the taxi was traveling south on Central Avenue toward Eliot Street.

Damage was sustained to the front draw bar of the trolley as well as the right side of the taxi, after the right corner panel of the vehicle impacted the left side of the trolley at 5:26 p.m., Saturday, according to a report from the MBTA Transit Police.
According to the trolley driver, a passenger and a pedestrian in the area, Limage attempted to pass the trolley after it already started to move. Transit Police cited the taxi driver for failure to use precaution at a railroad.

After the crash, buses were dispatched to transport passengers both inbound and outbound. According to the report, service resumed at 6:05 p.m.
