The Week Ahead

A look forward at the happenings in Milton the week of September 20.

Every Monday, Milton Patch will give you a rundown of what to expect in the week ahead. You'll find scheduled meetings and noteworthy events and maybe even where you'll find me this week.

The biggest thing going on in Milton this week will be the week's first meeting, the Special Town Meeting. The four-item meeting will take place at Milton High School auditorium on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

The first warrant item concerns adoption of the stretch energy code. The second is for amending the  zoning bylaw for height restrictions on accessory structures. The third warrant item is the town wind turbine-related amendment to the zoning bylaws for as of right siting. Finally, Town Meeting will vote on a liquor license for Ichiro Sushi.

The Special Town meeting is slated for Monday evening with the possibility of carrying over into Tuesday night. Before Town Meeting, the Board of Selectmen, the Planning Board and the Warrant Committee will meet at the high school at 6:30 p.m.

Later this week there will be two other meetings. The School Committee will convene at 7 p.m., Wednesday and the Planning Board will meet at 6:30 p.m., Thursday.
