The Week Ahead

A look forward at what's going on in Milton the week of August 2.

Every Monday, Milton Patch will give you a rundown of what to expect in the week ahead. You'll find scheduled meetings and noteworthy events and maybe even where you'll find me this week.

On Wednesday evening from 5 to 9 p.m., the Milton Police Department will host its annual National Night Out. The family fun event will be held at the Milton Police Department Headquarters to celebrate a night out against crime. Among the activities will be moonwalks, face painting, cookout, the RE/MAX hot air balloon slide, a balloon artist and more.

Over at the Town of Milton building the Board of Selectmen will meet at 6:30 p.m. As the Selectmen gear up for the September 20 Special Town Meeting, there will be plenty to discuss this week. Outside of the four warrant items, the Selectmen are also expected to discuss the DCR bike path. The public comment period for the path ends this month and the Selectmen have not taken a position to this point.
