Spend the weekend close to home with these two events.

We'll start this week's suggested activities with a seminar in Milton and then move to a festival just down the road, in Canton.
On Saturday at 1 p.m. join Josh Oldfield and John Petrosini at Thayer Nursery Landscaping and Garden Center for a demonstration about garden walls. This free event will end at 3 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, some star power will hit the Blue Hills as artists like Ziggy Marley, Ben Harper, Jason Mraz and Guster hit the stage at Prowse Farm for the Life is good Festival.
The two-day event features three stages and a variety of other activities, all to benefit the Life is good Kids Foundation.

Even if you don't plan to attend the festival, it's good to take note that thousands of people will be flooding the Milton/Canton line. Traffic in the area could get snarled, but the Milton Police Department is not planning any additional traffic detail.
