This week, at least for me, was highlighted by a great opportunity afforded by the Milton Police Department at Wednesday's National Night Out. There was also a Board of Selectmen meeting, a stellar band concert and an art opening.
At the National Night Out, an open house and family fun event at the Milton Police Headquarters, one of the many activities was canine demonstration. Thanks to Canine Officer Larry Lundrigan, Deputy Chief Charles Paris and Chief Richard Wells, I was able to suit up in a full jute bite suit and take bites from two canines. Luckily, the whole ordeal was filmed and can be viewed here.
The other entertainment events this week included the weekly band concert at the town gazebo. Milton's Pauline Wells took the stage with DEVRI to perform a variety of traditional and modern Irish tunes.

The new art exhibit at the the Milton Public Library also opened this week. Brian Queally of Milton opened his showcase of landscape paintings on Thursday evening. Queally's paintings, included spots in the South Shore and Ireland, but some of the most recognizable pieces were inspired by the landscape in Milton.
