• Arnold C. Purinton (recorder.com) — Montague readers may remember Arnold Purinton, who was born here in 1941 and later became a well-known plumber, community volunteer, and family man in nearby Buckland. He died on December 6 at age 84, and visiting hours and a service will be held Saturday, December 13 at Mary Lyon Church in Buckland, with a military burial and celebration of life planned for spring.
