• Six Town Board seeks ballot vote for school regionalization (recorder.com) — Montague residents will be asked to decide a major school regionalization plan at a required special election, because the town’s representative Town Meeting can’t vote on it directly. Neighboring towns are now seeking special legislation so they can also use ballot votes on merging Gill-Montague and Pioneer Valley into a new Great River Regional School District, which would reshape where local students attend school.
