Fairview Avenue Fire Deemed Accidental
No one was injured in the Sept. 10, 2-alarm fire.

Acting Natick Fire Chief Rick White could only applaud the efforts of his crew.
On Sept. 10, firefighters were called to 17 Fairview Ave. at about 3 p.m. and quickly extinguished a two-alarm fire with no reported injuries.
"The guys did a great job," White said of his crew. "It was a fast knockdown."Â
According to White, the fire was contained to one room that was being used for storage.
"The fire right now appears to be accidental," White said. "There was some water damage to the rest of the house."
NSTAR was called to shut off power to the house.
Red Cross was notified to help the residents of the home.
White said one cat was rescued from the fire. The residents reported there was a second in the house, but it was not found.
The home is currently inhabitable.
"They had taken quite a few windows out to ventilate it," White said. "There was a lot of black, sooty smoke."
White said the house is not a total loss and that the fire is still under investigation. Â
