The Natick Service Council (NSC) is delighted to announce the Grand Opening of Harriet’s Closet Thrift Boutique, an expansion of the beloved Harriet’s Closet program established in 2014. Originally created as a free clothing resource for NSC families, Harriet’s Closet is now growing into a welcoming, inclusive thrift boutique.

This new model allows NSC to generate vital funding to support its mission while continuing to provide essential clothing at no cost to families facing financial hardship. NSC families will continue to shop free of charge, by appointment, Monday through Thursday. The boutique will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to support NSC’s critical programs and services.

The expansion into a thrift boutique aims to diversify NSC’s offerings, broaden the selection available to families who use the program, and strengthen community awareness and engagement. NSC remains committed to offering high-quality items that are new or gently used, to our families and beyond.

The community is invited to celebrate this exciting milestone at the Grand Opening on Saturday, December 20, 2025, during the official Grand Opening event. The celebration will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is open to the public. Free tote bags will be available while supplies last.

If you’d like to donate to the Thrift Boutique, we gratefully accept in-season, new or like-new clothing, as well as accessories, jewelry, and new shoes. We kindly ask that all items be in excellent condition—our guiding rule is, “Would I gift this to a friend?”

Donations may be dropped off at the NSC front desk, Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please help us keep the area safe and clean by not leaving donations outside. Thank you for supporting the work of NSC!

Named in honor of longtime NSC volunteer Harriet Kane, who has generously contributed countless hours of service, Harriet’s Closet has supported local families for more than a decade. NSC clients may make one 30-minute appointment per month and may select up to three items for each member of their household.
