MBTA Delays Natick Center Station Entrance Changes

The North Avenue and Walnut Street entrances are still open "until further notice," MBTA officials said.

MBTA officials originally said the contractor was planning to begin work installing ramps, stairways and elevators on the west end of the station starting on Jan. 23. This means the entry to the station would have been relocated to Washington Street.

Once this change does go into effect, it's set to last through the end of the year, according to officials.

The $36 million project, when it's completed, will feature two new elevators, two accessible ramps and six stairways, all aimed at bettering accessibility and rider experience at one of the MBTA's busiest commuter stations.
