MWRTA Extends Fee Free Rides Program
The "Try Transit" program will now continue until the early summer months. Here's what to know.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Welcome news is here for riders of MetroWest Regional Transit Authority riders.
The MWRTA and state lawmakers have extended the "Try Transit" program through June 30, which gives fixed route and demand response riders free fare options.
The program allows anyone to ride buses for free after signing up for a MWRTA Catch Card. Those cards allow riders to skip paying fares through March 31.

Riders without a card will still have to pay the $1.50 bus fare.
The good news is the cards are free to all riders. Cards can be picked up from any MWRTA Fixed Route driver, or at the MWRTA Central Hub at 15 Blandin Ave., in Framingham.

Demand response riders will have their debt accounts paused, allowing them to ride fare free during this period.
