Natick Center Pedestrian Bridge Demolition Prompts North Avenue Closure: Here's When
Natick Center Station construction is ongoing. The latest step will close North Avenue starting Friday.

NATICK, MA — Frequent riders of MBTA trains from Natick Center Station have taken their last walk across the pedestrian bridge.
The Natick Center Station pedestrian bridge is set for demolition this week as upgrades at the station continue.
This latest step will also prompt other changes for the weekend, as the demolition will close North Avenue to vehicle traffic from Friday through Sunday.

"The closure of North Avenue is necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the demolition," MBTA officials said. "This work is essential to allow for the construction of the new pedestrian bridge."
With North Avenue closed officials have provided residents a map of an alternative route available to navigate the area. That map is included below:

The project, when it's completed, will feature two new elevators, two accessible ramps and six stairways, all aimed at bettering accessibility and rider experience at one of the MBTA's busiest commuter stations.
Officials are aiming for 2024 to fully complete the project.
