Natick Cop Runs Boston Marathon For Cops For Kids With Cancer

This Natick cop is running once again the Boston Marathon. And you can donate.

NATICK, MA — Officer Serge Melnik and Detective Ryan Payne is running the 121st Boston Marathon on April 18, and it's the third time he's done so.

For the third straight year, he's running to raise money and awareness for Cops For Kids With Cancer.

As Melnik explains, CFKWC focuses on providing comfort in the form of financial assistance to families with children stricken with cancer.

"CFKWC is different from many charities as those raise money for research," he writes on his fundraising page. "The funds raised through CFKWC go to people directly involved in the care of the children and each family typically receives $5,000."
