State FY2019 Budget Has $9 Million In Chap 70 Funds For Natick

The Mass. FY2019 budget includes more than 5 percent more than last year for road and street repairs in Natick.

NATICK, MAβ€”With Governor Charlie Baker's FY2019 budget submitted, it now has passed the House and sits in the Senate for approval.

Final budget totals for MetroWest Cities and Towns include several line items for Natick, according to Sen. Karen Spilka.

  • $60,000 for Opioid Task Force for substance abuse prevention (4512-0200)
  • $25,000 for Natick Service Council for veterans substance abuse prevention program (4512-0205)
  • Chapter 70 - $9,762,979 - $481,154 (5.18%) increase over FY18 GAA
  • Unrestricted General Government Aid - $3,940,047 - $133,238 (3.5%) increase over FY18 GAA

  • $250,000 Tempo Wayside Youth and Family Support (4800-0038)
  • $100,000 for United Way of Tri-County’s Call 2 Talk program (4513-1026)
  • $100,000 for a transportation program operated by SMOC to assist people in getting to work (4401-1000)
  • $100,000 for SMOC’s Opioid Crisis Response program (4512-0200)
  • $50,000 for Serenity House in Framingham (4512-0205)
  • $50,000 for MetroWest Veterans District (1410-0010)
  • $100,000 for Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center (4000-0014)
  • $50,000 for Commercial Driver’s License workforce program operated by the MetroWestRegional Transit Authority (7003-0100)
  • $15,000 for MetroFest (7008-0900)
  • $100,000 for 495/MetroWest Partnership (7008-0900)
