Needham Tops List of Most Expensive Homes in Mass.

Needham topped a recent list for the most expensive market to buy a home, according to a survey by Coldwell Banker, and reported by the Boston Globe, coming in ninth in a Top-10 list.

Coldwell Banker used its listings of large family houses in 2,000 markets, including 66 in Massachusetts, with the most expensive being being Wellesley, followed by Cohasset, Lexington and Hingham.

The average price, according to the Coldwell Banker chart, for a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Needham is $805,867.

The most expensive market in the country proved to be Los Altos, CA.

According to Zillow listings, the most expensive home for sale now in Needham is going for $2,765,000, a six-bedroom, five-bathroom estate with a breakfast room, fireplaces, French doors, master suite, stone walls and grand formal rooms.
