It costs $53. Another option is the Earth Machine, for $40, which has pegs to make it rodent resistant and is easy to put together. It holds 10.5 cubic feet of compost. A kitchen scrap bucket is also available for $7.75, which holds 1.9 gallons and snaps shut. If you don't want to make your own, Newton residents can get free compost at the Recycling Depot on Rumford Avenue.
