David Rosa: Candidate Profile 4th Congressional District
David Rosa, a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, said he plans to curtail voter fraud if elected.

BROOKLINE, MA — Two Republicans and eight Democrats are vying to represent the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District as Rep. Joe Kennedy leaves to challenge Sen. Ed Markey for his seat in the senate.
To get to know the candidates from a district that runs from Brookline, Newton Wellesley down to Attleboro, Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.
Among those running in the Republican Primary Sept. 1, is Dave Rosa, 66. He's lived in Dighton, Fall River and Taunton for the past 20 years with his wife Zita. Rosa is a retired Defense Department employee, and a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

Rosa ran to get on the Republican ticket in 2016 to represent the 4th Congressional District and before that, in 2014 ran to represent the First Plymouth and Bristol District of the Massachusetts State Senate.
He's currently the parks and recreation committee chairperson in Dighton.

What politicians have inspired you and might you model your time in Congress after?
Those that realigned of facts, science, believed in the message of Jesus.
How would you summarize your campaign in 3 words?
Keep America Great
The single most pressing issue facing our district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Economic opportunity - restrain government over reach, fix infrastructure, curtail voter fraud, change our gerrymandered districts.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Political philosophy - most are Marxist, communist really, while I believe in a free Enterprise system within a Republic.
In what way has the current officeholder failed the district? What will you do better?
The previous congressman catered to socialist thinking, often putting feelings before the constitution. This is the soft talk communists use to take power.
I support:
- Healthcare for all
I do not support:
- Green New Deal
- Medicare for all
- Eliminating the filibuster
- The 1619 Project in schools
- Repealing the Second Amendment
- Transgender troops in the military
What should Congress do to help the economy?
Get out of the way, but don't abandoned the obligation to protect the interests of the citizens.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform:
Balanced government, ensures our rights and interests are properly debated.
What accomplishments would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Hold elected office now, crafted proposed legislation, served in the military, participated in private enterprise, married and raised children, paid taxes, bought a home. A life similar to many citizens in the district. I have a healthy sense of fair play and law and order.
