Newton Thanksgiving Football Game Includes Flash Mob Marriage Proposal
The special moment included dancing and, of course, the Newton North Tiger mascot.

Thursday's Thanksgiving Day football game between Newton North and Brookline was a joyous occasion -- but not just because the Tigers defeated Brookline 21-0.
According to a report in The Newtonite, the Turkey Day game also included a flash mob marriage proposal.
The special moment took place during half time when Kevin Ferguson proposed to Newton South French teacher Suzanne DeRobert, The Newtonite reported. DeRobert is the mother of a Newton North senior.

When half time started, the dance team, cheerleading squad and other students started to dance and form a circle around DeRobert. Then, Ferguson came out in the school's George the Tiger mascot costume, The Newtonite reported.
After Ferguson came out in the costume, he took off the mascot head and got down on one knee, according to The Newtonite. DeRobert accepted the proposal.
