Newton Winter Overnight Parking Ban In Effect
From now until the end of March there is no parking permitted in Newton overnight.

NEWTON, MA — If you park your car on the streets overnight, you might want to find a new spot. The Winter Overnight Parking Ban takes effect Sunday night, Dec. 1. This means cars and trucks cannot be parked on any street in the city for more than one hour between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. through March 31.
Get your shovels ready, too. The City Council passed an ordinance earlier this year that requires home owners to clear their sidewalk within 24 hours of a storm’s end. If you don't, you will get off with a written warning for the first time, and a $50 fine for any other offenses after that.
The Department of Public Works is responsible for enforcement through calls to the 311 system.
