Oak Hill Middle School Warns Parents of 'Insults' Facebook Page

Middle school students used the page to insult classmates anonymously.

School officials at Oak Hill Middle School warned parents of a case of cyberbullying using Facebook.

An "insult" Facbook page has been set up by Oak Hill students to criticize each other, reported WCVB Channel 5.

The school sent parents notices letting them know about the "Ohms Insult Page" and another called "Ohms Compliment Page," where most of the posts are positive, according to WCVB.

According to the report, posts included that one student has many chins and another is “fat and too clinging,” according to the report.

School officials said they will seek out the the authors of the pages, WCVB reported. they also encouraged parents to have their children remove their names from the page and not make comments.

This is the second time in the past few weeks that Newton schools have had trouble with students using Facebook. In May.
