Traffic Alert: Chestnut Street At Route 9 in Newton Closed

NEWTON, MA — Chestnut Street is closed from Route 9 to Tamworth as crews work to fix a water pipe connection, according to a spokesperson at city hall. Police are asking drivers to find another way around that area if possible, though detours are in place.

Crews expect to finish the work by 7:30 p.m.
