• Sheriff says ICE detainees better off in Plymouth jail (plymouthindependent.org) — North Plymouth residents recently packed a Select Board meeting at Cold Spring Elementary to protest ICE activity and detainee housing at the Plymouth County jail, while a few spoke in support. In response, Sheriff Joseph McDonald defended the jail’s ICE contract and conditions, as board member Kevin Canty drafts a January policy on how Plymouth police should cooperate with federal immigration agents.
