2022 North Andover Garden Club Scholarship Recipient
$1,500 Memorial Scholarship Awarded

The North Andover Garden Club Scholarship Committee is very pleased to announce the 2022 Richard J. Kulpinski Memorial Scholarship recipient is Matthew Hahn. Matthew graduated from North Andover High School earlier in June and plans to pursue a four-degree in Wildlife Ecology at the University of Maine Orono in the fall.
Matthew’s passion for the environment and wildlife have always been inherent in his life since he was a young boy and his many activities and pursuits reflect this. He plans to dedicate his education and career to supporting the conservation and the enjoyment of our natural environment. The NAGC is very honored to support his commitment and enthusiasm for protecting the environment and all creatures that live within it.
The $1,5000 scholarship is given to a high school student residing in North Andover who intends to pursue studies in horticulture, botany, agriculture, landscape design, environmental studies, forestry, conservation or a closely related field. The scholarship is to help further the NAGC’s mission to advance the science of horticulture, the conservation of natural resources, and the development of civic beautification. It is given in honor of long-time Club member Richard J. Kulpinski (1938 – 2017) for his vast horticultural knowledge, his many contributions to the NAGC and Town of North Andover, his educational achievements, as well as his kindness, generosity, energy, and remarkable talent for mentorship. The scholarship is funded by proceeds from the annual Plant Sale held each spring.
