3 North Andover Middle Schoolers Make MA All-Star Lacrosse Team
Lauren Dockray, Sophia Fina and McKenna Mohr were picked to represent the Mass Bay Colonials at a December tournament in Houston.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Three youth lacrosse players from North Andover have been chosen to represent the Mass Bay Colonials, an all-state tour team that will compete at a tournament in Texas this winter, according to Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse (MYL), which runs the program.
Lauren Dockray, Sophia Fina and McKenna Mohr, all students at North Andover Middle School, were among 23 7th and 8th-grade athletes selected for the Colonials from 71 town lacrosse programs from Central and Eastern Massachusetts.
Dockray and Fina, both midfielders, are eighth-year players in the North Andover Youth Lacrosse program, while Mohr, an attacker, is in her seventh year in North Andover Youth Lacrosse.

According to Mass Bay Colonials team organizers, the program seeks talented athletes who will proudly represent the state on and off the field. That is why players are judged on their performance at tryouts and also must submit positive recommendations from coaches, teachers and community leaders.
"The best athletes have a lot more than skill; they have character," said Jenn Salsich, the Colonials' head coach and the director of girls lacrosse for MYL.
Salsich continued: "This group of talented athletes play with immense poise, grit and resilience, proudly representing their town and our youth league on and off the field. They each have a bright future ahead in whatever they choose to pursue, and I feel so fortunate to get to coach them on their journey."
In addition to North Andover's Dockray, Fina and Mohr, the 2022 Mass Bay Colonials girls team also has athletes representing Andover, Attleboro, Boston, Foxborough, Lexington, Mansfield, Melrose, Quincy, Swampscott-Nahant, Wakefield and Wilmington.
