4 Charged In Armed Robbery Of North Andover Jewelry Store, District Attorney Says

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Four people were charged in an armed robbery case that led to a massive police search, according to a statement from Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker.

Police responded to a report July 3 of several men wearing masks and brandishing guns while robbing Milos Joyeria, a jewelry store located at 563 Chickering Road in North Andover.

The suspects then switched vehicles and led police on a chase on Route 125 in North Andover onto 495 into Lawrence.

The suspects then fled into the woods before being arrested by Lawrence police.

Two suspects remain wanted by authorities, according to the statement.

The four suspects pleaded not guilty. They were held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.

Angel Carrasco, 21, of Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania, was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Yire Abreu, 24, of Bronx, New York, was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and two counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Jarol Ledesma, 22, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a firearm ID card, and two counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Wilfred Mordan, 21, of Hazelton, Pennsylvania, was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and two counts of receiving a stolen vehicle.
