Angel Flight Gives Free Transportation to Marathon Victims, Family Members

The local nonprofit is stepping up -- and flying out -- to help.

located at the municipal airport, has teamed up with Mercy Medical Airlift in Virginia to free flights to those injured in the Boston Marathon explosions as well as their families.

"We are truly saddened by the tragedy that took place earlier this week in our home town of Boston," Angel Flight Northeast President Larry Camerlin said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, families and first responders who have endured so much. Angel Flight NE is here to assist those in need during this difficult time. We will do whatever it takes to ensure that these patients get access to the medical care they need and families members can join them for support."

Angle Flight NE provides free flights to children and adults who need critical medical care but can't afford transportation as well as free transportation for blood and organ donations.
