The average single-family home in town increased in value by over 8 percent, officials said.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The average single-family home's tax bill will increase by around $279 in 2022 after the selectmen set the tax shift Monday.
Residential property values increased significantly, with the median single-family home being valued at $607,436, up over 8 percent from $560,714 a year prior.
The selectmen voted for a 1.32 commercial tax shift, meaning commercial property owners will pay 132 percent of what they would if there was a uniform rate. Residential homes will be taxed at a rate of 13.54 mills, or $13.54 dollars per $1,000 assessed value. That's down from 14.17 mills in Fiscal Year 2021.
