Candy Dish To Pair Candy With Alcohol At North Andover Store

Candy Dish recently received Select Board approval to sell wine and liquor at a planned 1820 Turnpike Street storefront.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover candymaker The Candy Dish plans to offer their artisan candy with local alcohols at a new Turnpike Street store.

The business received approver from the Select Board recently for a package store license at 1820 Turnpike Street.

The Candy Dish was founded in 2015 by two local women. In just a few years, they had achieved such recognition that their candies were being offered as VIP gifts at the Academy Awards.

They offer chocolates, caramels, caramel apples and more.

The plan is to offer wines and liquors that pair with specific candies, using local providers as suppliers, the founders told the board. There will not be any beer, they said.

The storefront is under construction and "hopefully opening in September."
