Fire Rips Through North Andover Home
Firefighters extinguished the blaze reported at a Main Street home.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Firefighters extinguished a blaze in North Andover on Friday, according to a Facebook post reshared by the North Andover Fire Department.
Numerous calls reported a house fire at 242 Main St. at around 11:40 a.m. Firefighters arrived and found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the 2.5-story home.
Firefighters performed "an aggressive interior attack." Crews from North Andover, Lawrence, and Methuen quickly knocked down the fire, opening up walls and chasing pockets of fire.

The blaze was mostly knocked down within 30 minutes with no injuries reported.
Emergency medical service crews from local hospitals evaluated several firefighters due to the heat.
