Freezing Rain Advisory Until Midnight For North Andover

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - A freezing rain advisory will be in effect until midnight in North Andover, according to the National Weather Service.

Freezing drizzle with continue to affect parts of Massachusetts on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain is expected, mainly before 4 Tuesday afternoon, with gusts as high as 24 mile per hour. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter-of-an-inch possible.

However, there will still be areas of rain or freezing drizzle in areas between 7 p.m. and midnight tonight, then areas of freezing drizzle and sleet after midnight, according to the National Weather Service. Little or no sleet accumulation is expected overnight. The freezing rain advisory may be extended, according to meteorologists.

Then weak air pressure is expected to bring dry and mild conditions on Wednesday, before another round of rain arrives late Wednesday into early Thursday. It is expected to be sunny during the day on Thursday.

Though there is a slight chance of rain on Thursday night, it appears that the weather conditions will cooperate for First Night activities in Boston.
