Large Brush Fire In North Andover Contained: Fire Officials
The Sharpeners Pond Road fire is reportedly contained after burning over 150 acres, fire officials said.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The Sharpeners Pond Road brush fire was reported as contained Tuesday, according to fire officials.
A task force of forestry trucks and tankers from across Massachusetts and New Hampshire were brought in to assist. There were about 60 members working within the area alongside North Andover firefighters.
"The North Andover Fire Department along with many state resources continue to work the brush fire that is now contained," the fire department wrote on Facebook. "Thank you to all those who have made donations."

The fire had scorched over 150 acres as of Monday. Some residents from homes near Boxford State Forest had to evacuate over the weekend as the fire closed in on their properties.
Boxford State Forest is closed to the public as crews continue to fight the blaze.
