Largest Synchronized Swim Team in Country to Perform Annual Show
The following was submitted by the Andover/North Andover YMCA.

Imagine holding your breath and running. Now imagine holding your breath and running upside down and under water. The endurance required of a synchronized swimmer is often compared to that of a marathon runner. This gives you a little feel for synchronized swimming and for the excitement of an ANA Synchro show.
ANA Synchro, the Andover/North Andover YMCA’s synchronized swim team will perform its 38th annual show which will be held at the Andover/N. Andover YMCA on Saturday, April 20th at 3:00 and 6:00 pm and Sunday, April 21 at 3:00 pm. This event will feature 85 members of this nationally ranked team, including two ANA Synchro swimmers who are also US National Team members.
ANA Synchro athletes will be outfitted in custom-made swimsuits and will swim routines actually designed specifically for them by Olympic level choreographers. Closing out the ANA show is a breathtaking candle routine, done entirely in the dark. The ANA Synchro spends much of the time on the road competing and training, traveling as far as Los Angeles, Arizona, and to the well known, Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. This is a rare opportunity for the local community to see just what synchronized swimming is all about.
