Merrimack QB Jack Zergiotis Is NEC Co-Offensive Player Of The Week
Warriors defensive back Garry Rosemond Jr. was named the NEC Defensive Player of the Week. Merrimack lost 28-21 to Harvard in OT on Friday.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA —Two Merrimack College football players received Northeast Conference (NEC) honors on Monday despite the Warriors losing 28-21 to Harvard in overtime on Friday.
Sophomore quarterback Jack Zergiotis, from Montreal, was named the NEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after completing 23 of 43 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with three Warriors receivers —Jelani Mason, Jacari Carter and Hayden Fisher —on touchdown plays.
Zergiotis currently ranks second in the NEC in total offense.

Meanwhile, Merrimack sophomore defensive back Garry Rosemond Jr. earned weekly conference honors for the second straight week.
A week after being named the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week, Rosemond was named NEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Harvard.

Rosemond, from Washington D.C., had interceptions on back-to-back drives in the second half and added four tackles and a pass deflection against the Crimson.
Through three games, Rosemond has four interceptions, which is tied for first in the nation.
The Warriors (1-2) play their last non-conference game of the season at 2 p.m. Saturday when they visit Delaware State. The Hornets are 2-1.
