Today's top story: New Hampshire Threat Leads To Investigations In Massachusetts
An unfounded shooting threat on a bathroom wall in New Hampshire led to potential high school safety issues and investigations in two states.
Patty Sherman, a co-superintendent for Pembroke, New Hampshire school district, confirmed the threat was graffiti written on the wall of a bathroom stall that "indicated a threat to the school community" at Pembroke Academy.

Officials quickly determined that the threat was not credible.
But the threat spread on Snapchat, sparking alarm across both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In the Bay State, at least four high schools — Haverhill, Lawrence, Peabody, and Waltham — reported threats and began investigations. Other districts, including Andover, North Andover, Wilmington and Tewksbury said they had seen no such threats directed at the district.

Officials at the four Massachusetts high schools increased police presence in the wake of the Snapchat threat, "out of an abundance of caution," noted Waltham School Superintendent Brian Reagan.
