North Andover Comedy Club To Feature Night Of Comedy, Magic

On Saturday, Lots of Laughs will feature sets by Johnny Pizzi, a comedian/magician, Mark Riley, Danny Miller and magician Phil Volonino.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Comedy and magic are back this weekend at Johnny Pizzi's Lots of Laughs Comedy Lounge in North Andover.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, the Comedy Showcase will take place at the lounge, which is located in Joe Fish Seafood Restaurant and Bar, 1120 Osgood St. Tickets are $30 and available online, by calling 781-420-1036, or by emailing lotsoflaughscomedy@gmail.com.

Saturday's show will feature Pizzi, the club owner who also performs, Mark Riley, Danny Miller and Phil Volonino.

Pizzi specializes in close-up stage magic and mentalism and has been a fixture on the Boston and New England comedy scenes for over 30 years. He has performed with comedy giants like Sam Kinison, Denis Leary, Bill Burr, Louis C.K. and Dane Cook.

Pizzi is a regular at Giggle's Comedy Club in Saugus and at Foxwoods Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort, and he is a popular performer on the corporate circuit. Pizzi also participates in numerous charitable fundraisers and benefit concerts.

According to Pizzi, he also is the Unofficial Magician of the New England Patriots.

Miller is a veteran of the Boston comedy scene who works all over New England, and Volonino is a magician who does table-to-table magic and stage magic.

Riley, meanwhile, is a former National Hockey League referee who is a fixture on the Boston comedy scene and a headliner throughout New England.

Johnny Pizzi's Lots of Laughs Comedy Lounge re-opened in November after moving from its previous location at China Blossom Restaurant. The club was at China Blossom for 14 years, but a change in management at the restaurant led Pizzi to seek a new space.
