North Andover Coronavirus Stats: Cases, Positive Rate Keep Rising

The town's two-week average positive test rate remains above the state average, according to the latest Department of Public Health report.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's positive coronavirus test rate remains above the state average and rising, according to the latest municipal-level data released by the Department of Public Health Thursday.

Over the last two weeks, 5.1 percent of North Andover tests were positive, above the statewide rate of 4.97 percent over the same period.

The town had 273 cases in the last two weeks, or 64.4 daily cases per 100,000 residents.

Both the positive rate and the case total increased from last week's report.

The state also reported that North Andover reached 74 percent fully vaccinated, up from 73.2 percent in last week's report. Over 82 percent of residents have been at least partially vaccinated.

As of Thursday, the town reported that 55 percent of the town's 236 active coronavirus cases were among unvaccinated residents, who make up less than a third of the population.
