North Andover Covid Cases, Positive Rate Still Falling Fast

The town's two-week positive rate was 5.67 percent in Thursday's report, down more than a third over the prior report.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's coronavirus positive rate and case counts continued to fall rapidly as the omicron variant recedes across the state, according to the latest town-by-town data released Thursday by the Department of Public Health.

North Andover reported 133 cases over the last two weeks, or 31.4 daily cases per 100,000 residents. That's down more than 100 from 240 cases in the prior week's report.

The positive rate fell to 5.67 percent, the lowest level since December. Last week, the town's positive rate was 8.6 percent.

The town is 77 percent fully vaccinated and 86 percent at least partially vaccinated. Booster doses have been administered to 44.2 percent of North Andover residents, according to state data.
