North Andover COVID Metrics Falling Rapidly: State Report

The town's two-week positive test rate fell below 10 percent for the first time in 2022.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's coronavirus metrics have continued to rapidly decline, according to the latest statistics released by the state Thursday.

The town's positive rate on recorded tests over the last two weeks fell below 10 percent, to 8.6 percent, for the first time in 2022. In last week's report, the town's positive test rate was 11.85 percent.

The two-week case count fell to the lowest level in two months, 240, or 56.6 average daily cases per 100,000 residents.

North Andover's metrics reflect those of the state as a whole; in the last week, fewer than 4 percent of reported tests in Massachusetts have been positive.

Over three-quarters, 76.9 percent, of residents are fully vaccinated, according to the latest municipal vaccination report. Nearly half, 43.5 percent, have received a booster, and 85.9 percent have received at least one shot.
