North Andover COVID Positive Rate Falls Below 3%

The town's positive test rate fell over the last two weeks to a level not reported since mid-November, according to state data.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's covid test positive rate over the last two weeks fell to the lowest level since mid-November as the omicron variant continues to recede.

The town's two-week positive rate was 2.95 percent in Thursday's town-by-town Public Health Report, the lowest since the Nov. 18 report.

There were just 53 confirmed cases in town in the last two weeks, down from 86 in the prior report. That's 12.5 average daily cases per 100,000 residents.

Statewide, confirmed case counts have fallen to their lowest level since August.

Over three-quarters of the town's population, 77.4 percent, is fully vaccinated. Eighty-six percent have gotten at least one dose and 45.2 percent have received a booster shot.
