North Andover Families, Staff Mostly Support In-Person School

Surveys of parents and staff show sizable minorities of both groups unlikely to return for in-person school.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The majority of North Andover parents and staff responded to a pair of surveys by saying they are likely to send their kids or return to school for in-person instruction.

Roughly 41 percent of both groups responded 5 on a 1-5 scale of likelihood of returning to school; over 20 percent more responded with a 4. But substantial minorities of both groups are unlikely to return to school: 8 percent of parents and 2 percent of teachers responded with a 1.

In addition, almost two-thirds of parents said their children would not ride the school bus.
