Johnson/NAHS Hall of Fame Inductees

There will be a banquet next weekend.

The inductees of the Johnson/North Andover High School Hal of Fame have been announced.

There will be a Hall of Fame Banquet Saturday, April 27, at 6 p.m. at DiBurro’s, 887 Boston Road, Haverhill.

Outstanding Community Contribution

  • Established the Ruth Bowe Scholarship Fund in honor of his mother.

Daniel Healey

North Andover High School Class of 1976

Wrestling, 2 years

  • In 1976, he was undefeated in dual meets and won the Cape Ann League Championship, the North Sectional Championship and the Individual State Championship trophy.
  • His 1976 record was 31-3 overall.

Dianne Freiermuth

North Andover High School Coach, 1993-1997

  • She inherited a two-year winless team and built up the program to be one of the best in Massachusetts.
  • Her teams qualified for the State Tournament in 12 of her 15 years at the helm.
  • She was chosen as Coach of the Year twice.

John Guilmet

North Andover High School, 1993

Baseball, 4 years

  • He was a starting pitcher for four years and set the school record for most hits his sophomore year.
  • In his junior year, he was selected as a CAL all-star.
  • In his senior year, he was named MVP of the CAL.

Stacey Caravella

North Andover High School, 1997

Field Hockey, 4 years

Basketball, 4 years

Track, 3 years

  • In track, she lettered three years and specialized in the long jump and sprint events. She won the Coach's Award her senior year.
  • In basketball, she lettered four years and as a captain received the Scarlet Knight Award.
  • In field hockey, she led her team in scoring for three consecutive years and helped them make three MIAA State Tournament appearances. She was a Cape Ann All-Star in 1995.

Lauren Otto

North Andover High School, 2002

Field Hockey, 3 years

Softball, 4 years (captain)

  • She was a 4 time Cape Ann All-League Selection and CAL Player of the Year. Harry Agganis All-Star and Bay State Games Gold Medalist.

John Routhier

North Andover High School, 1995

Football, 4 years (co-captain)

Outdoor track, 2 years

Indoor track, 1 year 

  • In track, he established records in the 50 and 60 yard high hurdles and was a CAL All-League athlete.
  • In football, he was quarterback in the 1994 Division 4A Super Bowl Championship Team.

William Sullivan

North Andover High School, 1989

Wrestling, 4 years (captain)

Soccer, 4 years

Outdoor track, 3 years

  • In wrestling, he was a 1988 State Champion. He was also a Cape Ann League Champion twice.
  • He was inducted into the New England Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2009.
