NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The North Andover High School girls basketball team is encouraging members of the community to purchase a bag of soup, which will help people in need and the basketball program.
The "DONATEaBAG" fundraiser allows people to purchase a 4-pound bag of soup for $22. Each bag contains six bowls or eight cups of soup, made by Blount Fine Foods, which will be donated to Lazarus House Ministries in Lawrence.
Lazarus House runs a food pantry that supplies emergency groceries to over 1,200 families each week, while its soup kitchen provides freshly-prepared hot meals to more than 300 people a day at breakfast and lunch sittings.
