NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover resident Eric Peterson doesn't pay a single penny for utilities, he told WCVB, because of his efficiently-designed home and the solar panels on the roof.

Peterson's home was completed in 2015 and was designed to use no fossil fuels, according to the report.

Instead of gas, the house uses heat pumps, and the house is extra insulated against heat loss.
