She was arraigned earlier this month on charges of armed assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges, according to CBS Boston.
Prosecutors said that Fitzsimmons' fiancé filed a restraining order hours before she was shot, fearing for the safety of their four-month-old child.

However, Fitzsimmons's attorney has denied that she pointed her service weapon at the officer who shot her inside her home in July.
Her attorney said she was struggling with postpartum depression and was contemplating taking her own life when officers were attempting to issue the restraining order.
