North Andover Police Department Issues Warning On Scams
The police department is warning residents about a type of fraud in which scammers send targets photos of their home.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Police are warning residents about a scam that's making the rounds.
The North Andover Police Department posted the following on Facebook:
"Scammers are using personal information and photos of homeowners and their homes to scare people into sending money OR ELSE! All of the information used in these emails is simple public information that can be found in real estate listings or phone books. When in doubt, call our business line 978-683-3168 so we can make sure your money doesn’t go to the bad guy!"
