North Andover Public Schools Answers FAQs On Reopening

The 18-page frequently asked questions document covers the hybrid and remote learning models, the online learning academy and more.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover Public Schools officials answered common questions Sunday in a frequently asked questions document.

The 18-page FAQ covers the proposed hybrid and remote learning models, the opt-in remote learning academy, health protocols and topics including special education, technology and extra-curricular activities.

"The responses in this document are based on the most recent guidance provided by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Department of Public Health," the introduction notes. "Should additional guidance be provided, this document will be updated. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority."

School committee members requested the FAQ at their Tuesday meeting, frustrated with what they saw as inadequate information from district officials. Two members said they were not ready to vote on a plan.

The committee has four meetings scheduled, Monday to Thursday, ahead of the state decision deadline Friday.
