North Andover Residents Recognized For College, Prep Achievements

A local student completed a research-driven professional-level project at WPI, another student made the Honors List at a CT prep school.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Two students from North Andover recently were recognized for their academic achievements.

At Worcester Polytechnic Institute, North Andover's Benjamin Bagley, a member of the Class of 2024, recently completed a required research-driven professional-level project. For the project, students are expected to apply science and technology to address an important societal need or issue.

Bagley, a computer science major, was a member of a student team that completed a project titled "Enhancing the Zoo Praha Website."

"The WPI project-based curriculum's focus on global studies brings students out of the classroom and their comfort zones and into the global community to apply their knowledge and to solve problems," said Professor Kent Rissmiller, professor of Integrative and Global Studies and associate dean of The Global School.

North Andover's Lydia Warren, made the Fall 2022 Honors List at Promfret School, a college preparatory school located in Pomfret, Connecticut.

To earn a spot on the Honors List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.330 or higher and receive no grade lower than a B.

Warren is a member of the Class of 2026.
