NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The North Andover Select Board approved a $136 million town budget for the upcoming year at its March 3 meeting.
The school budget will rise to $68.2 million, a 9.89% increase from last year. Superintendent Pam Lathrop said the increase will help maintain class sizes, avoid cutting programs, and support teacher development. The Finance Committee will review the plan.
Officials also debated the cost of expanding town trash pickup to condominiums, affecting 1,800 residents. The change would cost an estimated $400,000.
